Adelboden lies on the sunny, south facing mountain terrace, with spectacular views all around. Adelboden is situated on 1353 meters above the sea level. It is a charming and friendly village with 3500 inhabitants. Adelboden offers one of the most extensive skiing areas in Switzerland.

The Ski Area
The ski area is suitable for all grades, from absolute beginners to experts, skiers are transported with speed and ease to the wide and open slopes above the village on a very effecient lift system. Every winter, Adelboden plays host to a World Cup giant slalom event.
Beginners: An excellent choice, with nursery slopes situated right next to the village.
Intermediates: More experienced skiers can take the Schwandfeldspitz gondola, which starts from the village centre, or the six seater Sillerenbuhl gondola, which links up with the massive Lenk ski region, all of which is also included in the whole area lift pass.
Advanced: 
The ski region is very extensive and you can even ski the neighbouring Gstaad "Super ski region" for one day with your Adelboden lift pass.
Snowboarding: Adelboden offers a number of natural half-pipes, permanent race course at Betelberg, and some lively bars.
Resort Attractions
Curling, horse sleigh rides, riding stables, cinema, many shops, several discos/night clubs, winter walking. Weekly classical concerts and folklore music in the village, torchlit descents, fondue evenings in the mountain restaurants, artificial ice rink.
